When my brother passed away suddenly I turned to Calvert in Bloomington to help me with his funeral arrangements as I had done when my parents. Once again I felt so comfortable and respected as I was carefully guided by the staff in planning a very dignified and beautiful service for my brother. There was no pressure to do things their way, no pressure to buy expensive extras, just gentle guidance and reassurance. Thank-you Calvert Metzler in Bloomington and especially Kevin Smith for all you help and kindness when I needed it most.

Kevin and the staff were extremely helpful in guiding us through this difficult process. They were thorough, attentive to detail, and honest in the financial transaction, all while being sympathetic to our needs. They also were efficient responding to questions and following up. We very much appreciate the support we received.

I had such a sweet and caring experience here. I brought my cat to be cremated, and both interactions on the phone, and when I arrived in person, were professional and caring. I was even allowed to see where my cat was going to be cremated, and say goodbye one more time. Very quick turn around time, and fair pricing. I couldn’t recommend enough if you’re looking for a soft landing for your beloved pet.

Calvert & Metzler was great to work with. Ken was helpful and kind in every way. They made the transition to life without mom less difficult. Probably 25 years ago my parents prearranged their funerals. What a great gift for the children who are left behind to mourn their loss.

Losing my mom to cancer was the hardest experience I have ever had to go through. We came to Calvert Metzler the morning that she died. As hard as it was to make the funeral arrangements, they took great care and attention to detail, and ensured everything at the funeral went off without a hitch. I didn’t have to worry about anything that day, and they made sure everything was organized, and approached everything very gently for us. Afterwards, my mom‘s birthday was just a few weeks after she passed and they reached out. They continued to support our family even after the funeral was over.
